Diagnose before prescribing
We will not quote a solution on the first call. Any firm that can tell you the answer before looking at your numbers is selling you what they already built for somebody else.
Our approach
Provision Strategy was founded in Glendale in 2019 on an unfashionable idea: that a consultant's job is to become unnecessary. Every engagement is built to end, and to leave the company able to do the thing without us.
Principles
We will not quote a solution on the first call. Any firm that can tell you the answer before looking at your numbers is selling you what they already built for somebody else.
A business rarely has twelve problems. It has one that produces eleven symptoms. We find that one, fix it, and only then look at what is left — which is usually much less than anyone expected.
Work that arrives finished gets ignored. Your people sit in every working session, so by the end they are not adopting our system — they are maintaining theirs.
If the real problem is a person, a product line, or the owner's calendar, you will hear it in week two rather than month six. You are not paying us to be agreeable.
Who we work with
Big enough that the numbers matter, small enough that one person can still change direction on a Tuesday. That is the range where this work compounds fastest.
Roughly half our clients are in Southern California, where we work on site. The rest are remote across the United States, with on-site weeks built into the engagement at the points where being in the room matters.
The honest version
If you are below roughly $750K in revenue, you probably need customers rather than consultants. If you already know exactly what to do and simply need hands, an agency is cheaper. And if the organisation is not prepared to change anything, no diagnosis is going to help — we will tell you that on the first call rather than after the invoice.
